I had the opportunity to do a session at one of my favorite places, Wilcox Park in Westerly, RI. I grew up in Rhode Island and just love getting to go back to visit and love it even more when I can go back and photograph it. Wilcox Park is just a gorgeous backdrop for portraits and I fall more in love with it every time I am there. There are old stone steps and a fountain and pond, and this adorable stone bridge that no matter what time of day always seems to have perfect lighting for pictures.
I recently photographed two children and loved being able to walk around the park and pick the little nooks and beautiful backdrops that I love. Being outside with kids is one of my most favorite ways to work. Kids love to run around and be silly and being outside gives them room to move and be themselves. These two kids were super happy to be outside and it was so sweet to see what a fabulous brother sister bond they had with each other.
I can't wait to photograph more family photo sessions in Rhode Island this summer. Studio 860 Photography is just getting started with the summer season. Outdoor portrait sessions are super fun!
