Some people are afraid of teenagers and that’s understandable. They aren't always predictable and can be downright scary. But we were all once a teenager and can remember thinking we knew everything and that anyone over the age of 20 was "old". I have to say as an adult one of my favorite ages to photograph is teenagers. Often times they feel awkward in front of the camera, they feel self conscious and they are trying to figure out this big world. I love when I can take that awkward teen and help them relax and show them just how beautiful they are. I love when I can get them smiling genuine smiles and can even get the occasional belly laugh out of them (usually it's by me making fun of myself).
Recently I photographed Miss "E". She was not only a super fun client, but she is also my niece. She started the session a bit shy with the lights and the camera, but ended it super happy with the results! I got to try out a couple of new backgrounds that I got recently and I am very happy how they photographed. I can see using them much more in the future.
