Another great session with a family at a local farm (although there are no animals) in my local Killingworth, Connecticut. Studio 860 Photography CT family photographer was recently contacted to photograph a family of four. They were actually referred by another family I photographed this summer, I am humbled and thankful each time someone is referred to me. We decided on an outdoor photo session as there are still leaves on the trees and colors all around us.
The family has twin 8 year olds, a boy and a girl. As it is often seen, the girl was super excited about getting her pictures done, and the boy lacked the same enthusiasm. In most of my sessions where there are girls they are excited to get in front of my camera and strut their stuff, the boys on the other hand are much more apprehensive and would usually rather be anywhere but in front of the camera. After some small talk and silly jokes I can almost always get them to come around (there was one boy in my career I couldn't crack, but the rest were all smiling and laughing by the end of the session).
We did lots of different poses and groupings, and I was able to capture many posed as well as candids to present to the family. Although it was a bit chilly out fun was had by all. Both kids told me they had a blast at the end of the session, another win for me.
