Senior boy at the Harkness Park.

Over the summer I photographed a soon to be senior boy that was super relaxed and easy to photograph. I had spoken with his mother prior to the session and we decided on Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Connecticut for his Senior portrait session.  Harkness park is one of my favorite places for portrait session, there are so many beautiful locations on the property for images, including the beach.

I met Elias and his mother at the entrance of the park about an hour before sunset on a warm summer night.  His mother decided to go for a little walk while Elias and I went to our first place for photos, a teal door and brick building.  We photographed him in a casual outfit as well as in his hockey gear as he is a hockey player.

We next moved towards the beach area (after taking many poses with the door, the wall and the open field).  I always stop my clients on the way to the beach on the wooden walkway, I love the way it appears to go on forever.

We ended our session at the beach area.  His Mom rejoined us and was more then happy to jump into a couple of shots (I love when a parent gets in on the action).

Our last shot of the day was a silhouette (I'm slightly obsessed with them right now).  The sun was setting and I had him grab his hockey jersey and stick for one last image.
